This is the performance by Dierks Bentley of the popular song, “The Race is On” during the Legends in Bronze Concert. The song was performed in honor of statue inductee, George Jones. Supporting and performing with Dierks Bentley is Joe Nichols and Ray Benson. Bentley has two studio albums certified platinum, and one certified gold. His studio albums have accounted for sixteen singles on the country singles charts, of which eight have reached No. 1.

The performance took place at the Buck Owens bronze-induction concert, Legends in Bronze. The high-definition concert was shot on May 25, 2005 in font of 7,000 fans. Legends in Bronze paid tribute to ten country music and rockabilly stars with bronze statues cast by sculptor Bill Rains at the expense of Buck Owens himself. The concert also featured performances by Garth Brooks, George Jones, Joe Nichols, Ray Benson, and Merle Haggard, who closed the show. It ran a for a total of four hours, and the larger-than-life bronze statues now stand inside the Buck Owens Crystal Palace in Bakersfield, California.
