“Stan” is the third single from The Marshall Mathers LP, by rapper Eminem featuring Dido. It is also featured on Eminem’s first greatest hits compilation album, Curtain Call: The Hits. The song was produced by The 45 King, and uses a slightly modified break from Dido’s “Thank You” as its base sample. Coincidentally, both songs were released as singles in late 2000s. “Stan” peaked at number one in the United Kingdom and Australia and Rolling Stone magazine ranked the song #290 in their list in The 500 Greatest Songs of All Time. “Stan” was shot at New Jersey Studios for Interscope Records on the opening day of Eminem’s Anger Management Tour.
