Ray Benson and Joe Nichols performed Willie Nelson’s “Whiskey River” for the Legends in Bronze concert. Dierks Bentley played acoustic guitar in the background while Ray Benson played Buck Owens’ personal electric guitar. Ray Benson is known for being the front man of the western swing band Asleep at the Wheel, which has released more than 20 albums and earned 9 Grammy awards. Joe Nichols is an American country music artist who has release seven studio albums and has produced fourteen Top 40 singles on the Billboard Hot Country Songs charts, including the Number One singles “Brokenheartsville,” “Tequila Makes Her Clothes Fall Off” and “Gimmie That Girl.”

This unedited concert and statue dedication was shot in high-definition for Buck Owens Productions outside the Crystal Palace in Bakersfield, California. A huge stage was constructed as well as bleachers and chairs to accomodate over 7,000 fans.
